Force Plates and Strength Testing Equipment, Made in Denmark and the EU

Where your equipment is made is now a procurement question. Every CC Athletics device is designed, manufactured, and hand-assembled in Odense, Denmark — made in the EU, with country-of-origin documentation available and TAA compliance for US federal buyers.

Where your equipment is made used to be a footnote. For a growing number of buyers — defence forces, public hospitals, federations, and institutions across Europe — it’s now one of the first questions in procurement: is this product actually made in the EU?

For force plates and strength testing devices, that question is surprisingly hard to answer. Most manufacturers in our category don’t publish where their hardware is built. A European brand name, or even a European headquarters, doesn’t mean European manufacturing.

So let’s be direct about ours: every CC Athletics device — PlateMate, GroinMate, and CableMate — is designed, manufactured, and hand-assembled in Odense, Denmark. Made in Denmark. Made in the EU.

Why “Made in the EU” is becoming a procurement requirement

Public buyers across Europe are placing more weight on where equipment comes from, and for good reasons:

Supply chain security. Defence organisations, police, and public institutions increasingly prefer — or require — equipment built inside the EU, with a traceable supply chain and no dependence on manufacturing in non-allied countries. What was once a defence-only concern is spreading to hospitals, universities, and sports federations.

Data sovereignty. Strength testing equipment collects athlete and patient data. Hardware and software developed inside the EU, by a company subject to EU law and GDPR from day one, is a much simpler story for a European data protection officer than a device whose firmware and cloud are governed elsewhere.

Practical logistics. Buying EU-made means no import duties, short shipping distances, EU-based support in your time zone, and equipment built to EU safety and conformity standards because it was designed inside them — not adapted to them afterwards.

For Danish buyers there’s an extra layer of simplicity: we’re a Danish company, invoicing in Denmark, supporting you in Danish, with the factory a train ride away in Odense.

What “Made in Denmark” actually looks like at CC Athletics

CC Athletics isn’t a brand with an outsourced supply chain. Our force plates and dynamometers are hand-assembled at our facility in Odense, and our ForceMate software is developed in-house at the same office. Every unit goes through quality checks in Denmark before it ships.

Quality control and assembly at the CC Athletics facility in Odense

For a procurement team, that means a simple, verifiable origin story:

  • Country of origin: Denmark — documentable, on request, per product
  • One site, full traceability — design, assembly, firmware, and QC under one roof
  • No re-badged hardware — and no ambiguous “designed in Europe” phrasing that quietly means built somewhere else

It also underpins our other promise: you own your hardware and your data, with no subscriptions — ever. When you control your own manufacturing, you don’t need to claw back margin through recurring fees. A one-time purchase is also a far simpler fit for a public tender or institutional budget than an open-ended SaaS commitment.

For defence and military performance programs

Military physical training and rehabilitation programs are among the most demanding users of force measurement — and among the most demanding buyers. If you’re evaluating equipment for a Danish, Nordic, or other European defence organisation:

  • PlateMate (dual force plates, 960 Hz, 4,000 kg capacity), GroinMate (adduction/abduction strength), and CableMate (portable force measurement) are all manufactured in Odense, Denmark.
  • EU manufacture means straightforward answers on supply chain origin, spare parts, and long-term support — from a company inside the EU.
  • We provide country-of-origin documentation for your contracting office on request.

And for US federal buyers: Denmark is a designated country under the Trade Agreements Act (see FAR 52.225-5), which governs US federal procurement including defence and VA facilities. Products manufactured in Denmark are TAA compliant — so our equipment is eligible for US federal and military purchase, too. We’re happy to provide the documentation your contracting officer needs.

The short version

If your organisation needs force plates or strength testing equipment that is genuinely made in the EU — not just branded there — CC Athletics is one of the few options in the category that can put it in writing.
